Many users of iOS who complained about how quickly their device battery exhaustion lately. After investigation, it turned out that "villain" of the problem is the Facebook app for iOS.
This problem is recognized directly by Facebook Engineer Manager, Ari Grant. Through his Facebook status, he informs some of the problems that make Facebook application iOS version to make the iPhone battery depleted faster than it should.
The first problem found are termed "CPU Spin". This problem exists on the network code of the application.
The core of the problem, this one CPU feel as if there is a task that has not been resolved. Therefore, the CPU will continue to work so as to make the battery more quickly.
"CPU Spin as a young child in the car asked, ' are we there yet? Are we there yet? ', the question does not make an increase in to achieve the goal, "wrote Grant.
Facebook also found problems in the management of the audio session. If you close the Facebook application after watching the video, the audio session sometimes keep running silently. This is what makes the battery constantly sucked up power.
Facebook is said to be already solve this problem. Social media company is promising an increase in battery performance on his latest version of the application which is available today.
"We apologize any inconvenience we caused against. We will continue to be committed to continued improvement of battery usage in the application, and you will see an increase in the version that was released today, "says Grant.
